Migeation and Health

The aims of the study were to analyze the health differences between migrants and indigenous people in Russia and other European countries, to identify risk factors that determine these differences. The information base of the study were data from the European Social Survey (ESS), Round 4 conducted in 2008-2009, and  the Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey (RLMS), Round 18 conducted in 2009.

 Health of the young generation in our country in recent years is a major public problem, the solution of which determines the future well-being of Russian society. This monograph presents the main trends of children's health (0-17 years), the main factors that determine health differences. In addition, the monograph reflects one of the problem that characterizes the health of the young generation in Russia: the prevalence of smoking and alcohol consumption. It was not only assessed the negative impact of such risky behavior on children's health, but also identified factors that provoked them to behave in a way detrimental to health.

Монография посвящена комплексному анализу состояния здоровья населения столичного региона.  При этом выделяются наиболее значимые аспекты: гендерные особенности, положение трудоспособных, репродуктивное здоровье, специфика детей и подростков.  В монографии нашли отражение результаты анализа основных групп факторов, формирующих здоровье.  Среди них авторы считают наиболее значимыми: социально-экономические условия существования, образ жизни и активность самосохранительного поведения, социальные девиации.  Отдельная глава посвящена системе организации и финансирования здравоохранения как отрасли производства медицинских услуг, оценке их доступности и качества.
